New Mathematics Advances the Frontier of Macromolecular Imaging

Berkeley Lab researchers have introduced new mathematical theory and an algorithm, which they call "Multi-tiered iterative phasing (M-TIP)," to solve the reconstruction problem from fluctuation X-ray scattering data.
