Will Pazner

Bio
Will Pazner is an assistant professor in the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Portland State University, and a visiting faculty scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's Mathematics Group. His research focuses on high-order finite elements, efficient solvers and preconditioners, scalable matrix-free methods, and high-performance GPU computing. Previously, he was the Sidney Fernbach Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Center for Applied Scientific Computing and a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Berkeley’s Mathematics Department. He received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees from Brown University's Division of Applied Mathematics, where he was co-advised by Professors Per-Olof Persson and Chi-Wang Shu.
