Lin Lin

Bio
Lin Lin is an associate professor at the Department of Mathematics at UC Berkeley, a faculty scientist at LBNL, and a mathematician in the CAMERA Center. He received his PhD in applied and computational mathematics from Princeton University in 2011. He joined Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a Luis W. Alvarez Postdoctoral Fellow during 2011-2013, and as a research scientist during 2013--2014. His research focuses on the development of efficient and accurate numerical methods for electronic structure calculations. Lin is a recipient of the Sloan fellowship, the NSF CAREER award, the DOE Early Career award, the inaugural SIAM Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) early career award, and the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).
