Faculty Scientist

Franziska Weber is an assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics at UC Berkeley and a faculty scientist at LBNL. She received her PhD from University of Oslo in Applied Mathematics and had postdoctoral appointments at ETH Zurich and University of Maryland before joining the mathematics department of Carnegie Mellon University as an assistant professor. Since 2022, she is an assistant professor at UC Berkeley. She is interested in the numerical approximation and analysis of nonlinear PDEs, particularly those occurring in fluid dynamics. Her research is partly supported by an NSF CAREER award.
