CRD Staff Share Applied Math Expertise at ICIAM 2019

A number of staff from Berkeley Lab’s Computational Research Division are presenting talks and posters at the International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM) in Valencia, Spain, July 15-19, 2019. The Congress is taking place at the Universitat de València’s Campus de Blasco Ibáñez.

Held every four years, ICIAM is the premier international event in this field, drawing mathematicians from around the world. It serves as a showcase for the most recent advances in industrial and applied mathematics, covering interdisciplinary topics and demonstrating the applicability of applied math to science, engineering, and industry.

On Tuesday, July 16, Jamie Sethian, director of Berkeley Lab’s Center for Advanced Mathematics for Energy Research Applications (CAMERA), will give an invited talk on “Advances in Advancing Interfaces: The Mathematics of Manufacturing of Industrial Foams, Fluidic Devices, and Automobile Painting.”
