Postdoc Fellowships
Computing Sciences Research at Berkeley Lab is looking for talented and motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellows to conduct leading-edge research, publish and present their findings, collaborate with others in academia and industry, and contribute to the advancement of technology, all while receiving a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
Postdoctoral appointments require a Ph.D. in computer or data science or any other relevant computational science discipline (received within the last three years).
Fellowship Types
In addition to the numerous postdoctoral appointments associated with a variety of research projects, Berkeley Lab fields two highly selective named fellowships. Both the Luis W. Alvarez Fellowship in Computing and the Admiral Grace Hopper Fellowship in Computing Science offer exceptional opportunities to graduates who wish to pursue their own research interests under the mentorship of Berkeley Lab scientists. (The 2022 Alvarez Seminar Series featured talks by several recipients of the Alvarez fellowship.)
We also host U.S. Department of Energy Computing Sciences Graduate Fellows every year.
