Biographical Sketch:

Dan has been working at Berkeley Lab since 2005, starting in the Future Technologies Group as a graduate student researcher while studying at U.C. Berkeley (advisor: Katherine Yelick). He is now a full-time staff member with the CLaSS Group, working as the Lead System Architect and software development engineer for the Pagoda project. Dan is the original designer of the GASNet communication system, and has made significant design and implementation contributions to the UPC, UPC++ and Titanium programming languages/models. Current research interests include Partitioned Global Address Space (PGAS) programming models, and networking protocols for High-Performance Computing (HPC).
