Rochishnu Chowdhury
I am a postdoctoral scholar in the Applied Numerical Algorithms Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. I received my PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2023. My research involved developing sharp interface methods on adaptive quadtrees for applications in material science & biophysics and developing numerical algorithms to understand the performance of genetic reporters in Diffusion Weighted MRI. In the lab, I am working on higher order finite volume methods for problems involving jump conditions where the interface is treated in a sharp manner using embedded boundary methods. In my spare time, I enjoy olympic weightlifting, cooking and sketching in my free time.
