Zhi Jackie Yao
Zhi Jackie Yao is a Research Scientist with the Center for Computational Sciences and Engineering (CCSE) in the Computing Sciences Directorate at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She was previously the 2019 Luis W. Alvarez Postdoctoral Fellow in Computing Sciences.
Jackie has a combined background of computational science and domain sciences of physical waves and electronics. She currently works on device modeling for the co-design of microelectronics systems and for superconducting circuit design. Specifically, she focuses on magnetics, electrodynamics, multiferroics, and ferroelectrics. She is also interested in quantum spin applications and AI-driven design and optimization.
Prior to joining LBNL on Nov. 2019, she obtained both the Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UCLA.
