Weiqun Zhang is member of the Center for Computational Sciences and Engineering at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He is the chief architect of the ECP-funded AMReX software framework for supporting block-structured AMR applications.

Previously he has worked on a number of other subjects, including radiation hydrodynamics, relativistic hydrodynamics/magnetohydrodynamics and gamma-ray burst afterglows.
