Title:
Integrated Performance Monitoring
Abstract:
IPM is a portable profiling infrastructure for parallel codes. It provides a low-overhead performance summary of the computation and communication in a parallel program. This talk will present the core methodology of IPM along with case studies in parallel application performance. Monitoring the performance of parallel code is important both to application improvement and for the characterization of application workloads needed in planning future compute resources. A variety of NERSC application performance profiles will be presented from a range of HPC architectures.
