Title:
Fast estimation of the CMB polarization power spectra and its covariances
Abstract:
We describe a fast, quadratic power spectrum estimator for cosmic microwave background polarization fields based on heuristically-weighted correlation functions. The method is able to handle real-world effects, and separate the electric and magnetic polarization exactly in the mean with a negligible computational cost. We illustrate this method for two different types of polarization survey.

We also present a fast method of estimating covariances of the weighted polarization fields. The method takes into account of the electric and magnetic polarization power mixing, and reduces the computational demands based on a series of approximations. We demonstrate the goodness of the method with simulated sky.
